EVERLASTING KINGDOM OF PEACE

Of the increase of His government and peaceH7965 there will be no end.

He will reign on the throne of David and over his kingdom,

to establish and sustain it with justice and righteousness from that time and forevermore.

The zeal of the LORD of Hosts will accomplish this.

Isaiah 9:7

His leadership will bring such prosperity as you’ve never seen before—

sustainable peaceH7965 for all time. This child: God’s promise to David—

a throne forever, among us, to restore sound leadership that cannot be perverted or shaken.

He will ensure justice without fail and absolute equity. Always. The intense passion of the Eternal,

Commander of heavenly armies, will carry this to completion.

Isaiah 9:7 (VOICE)

When Jesus returns to reign eternally, He will fulfill God’s promise that’s David’s throne would be established forever. He will reign with complete justice and righteousness. For those of us who have surrendered our lives to the Lord and trusted in Jesus alone to save us from God’s wrath and eternal separation from His goodness, there will be no fear of that justice because we have been washed in the soap of His redeeming blood, we wear the righteousness of Jesus like a garment.

Isaiah 61:10 (VOICE) I am filled with joy and my soul vibrates with exuberant hope, because of the Eternal my God; For He has dressed me with the garment of salvation, wrapped me with the robe of righteousness. It’s as though I’m dressed for my wedding day, in the very best: a bridegroom’s garland and a bride’s jewels.

Philippians 3:9b I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ. For God’s way of making us right with himself depends on faith.

The proper terminology is that Christ’s righteousness is imputed to our account. We looked up the definition in The American Dictionary of the English Language published in 1828:

IMPU’TED, participle passive Charged to the account of; attributed; ascribed. (31)

There is no way we could be perfect enough to earn our way to Heaven. God gives a gift when we place our trust in Jesus to impute all the goodness, all the righteousness of the only perfect Man to our account. We are citizens of that Kingdom, the bride that Jesus as our bridegroom has prepared to enter His father’s house.

Philippians 3:20-21 But our citizenship is in heaven, and we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables Him to subject all things to Himself, will transform our lowly bodies to be like His glorious body.

Ephesians 5:25-27  Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her to sanctify her, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to Himself as a glorious church, without stain or wrinkle or any such blemish, but holy and blameless.

God’s intense passion for His people, those who trust in Jesus, will bring about this everlasting Kingdom of complete righteousness, justice, and peace. Father, we look forward with expectant, enthusiastic hope to the triumphant return of Jesus and spending eternity with our Bridegroom in the place He has prepared for us. (John 14).
